We arrived here July 25th. After the "setup" time and now that the tourists are gone, we are on our own in our new country ! We are left to ourselves.
A school meeting 2night showed us how difficult it is without knowing the hebrew language. The oulpan will give us a better knowledge (of hebrew) but we will have to work hard to integrate the israeli society (so I learned 5 months will not be enough)
Jerusalem is nice but the sea is nicer. The city is small, the country is small (but so it is easy to go from one place to another !).
And there are some real enlightened religious bums around the corner here !
We have not been exposed to the Israeli administration yet . We do not work yet. We did not go to the movies yet.
We meet new people : in the oulpan, in our everyday life (the doctor, the vet, the butcher, the technical guy from Bezeq -telephone and adsl-, the Toyota salesman).
We see other people : french friends and family that made aliya with us, french or others that are living here since ages...
